Let the kids ride any or all of the eight special child-specific rides at the Cherokee Fun Park. You can even sit back and enjoy the flowers on a bench as they ride.

Ride the stylish merry-go-round at the entrance to the park. But be careful to hold a railing when you get off, you might get dizzy from all the wild horse riding.

As you visit each attraction in the park, make sure to spend the time to visit with Yona the Bear. Yona, like many other mountain black bears, is in his natural habitat here in the mountains. Unlike the wild bears, Yona is always willing to give a hug and have his picture taken.

Another attraction your child will love is this Umbrella-Cockatoo, an inhabitant of the extravagant flower garden adjacent to many of the kiddie rides.

There are plenty of benches all around the park, so feel free to take a breather in the shade or sit back and watch as the kids ride at each amusing event.

Here you can ride in a train, modeled after those that run through the nearby mountains in Cherokee and throughout the Appalachians.
